Hate to say it mate- but the grooming thing applies to most hunters I've ever met- or to be more accurate applies to more hunters than not. Everyone's always looking for info , and an angle cos people are lazy-looking for the path of least resistance to get what they want.

I’ve noticed that too. But I have a slightly different approach to others. I spend a lot of time looking for good spots to hunt because I like the adventure associated with discovering new places.
Part of that process is taking to others with experience but one thing I promise anyone that helps me is that (a) I’ll never disclose a spot that someone specially doesn’t want me to share. (b) I’m very generous with the information that I have, I believe that I can tell anyone where I see deer, as the good hunters don’t need and won’t use that information and the bad hunters will never find them anyway. (c) I always do exactly what private property owners say, no matter how ridiculous that request is.
I’ve only got one really amazing public land spot that I found without any other hunters assistance and I’ve taken heaps of people there, I just ask them to not tell too many random hunters; but they probably do. :-)

And everyone loves a good yarn, the more bullshit the better?

If we didn’t, how would this forum survive?

I’ll say it one more time mate, you’ll find out when you mix the virtual and the real world who the virtual and real characters are. So many people have created virtual personas that are nothing like the person they are.

For the record I’m also one of those people! But you’ve met me and know that. I try to align those personalities as much as I can. :-)

I started by using my own name.

In terms of content, what you like and don’t like. The previous posts here reinforce my view. It’s subjective.

What I really disliked however was the advertising, every 3 min and fu*king Fresh Choice adds, or some other shit.
I didn’t finish it because I got sick of the interruptions. Not sure if it’s YouTube and the fact I won’t pay for the premium version?
Or he’s making a cut on the adds. Haven’t noticed it with other hunting video I watch. Won’t be watching any more.

Doesn’t that only happen if you ‘moneymaker’ yourself? I’ve also noticed that many of his videos say ‘contains paid content’ too.

yep NZ is too small for anyone to have any public land secret hunting spots that are actually secret and only used by them- i racoon 90% of most road end spots are used by 90% of the hunters out there. 10 % or maybe 5% actually get out there looking for new spots- going off of info that pops up during beers/chats/lies and bullshittery There sure is a special something in that one or two spots that you went to alone- did the recon- drew the maps- hunted the bad days, drove the 6 hours to and 6 hours back from etc.

yes a ) never disclose a spot - I had a great little block for fallow - took a so called mate and asked him to keep it quiet as one could almost guarantee at least a couple of fallow a trip -well bugger me next time I rang I got a total refusal for access - seems so called mate had been down with a bunch of his friends in tow - worse got caught on the property without permission and dropped my name into it - ohh Barry said it was all okay - yeah right - never been out with me since
