I’ve wired light bulbs into my safes, should have fitted them low down rather than near top, but seems to do the trick.

Use it often, that way there is no chance for the rust to build up.

Keep an eye on the buy sell, a good barrel may come up and not break the bank.

Move the safe to somewhere warm and dry. I feel your pain, buggered a really great rifle the same way
