Couldn't help myself before XMAS and I had always wanted a 45-70 so picked this Henry up. Its a real beast to shoot! We have had a lot of turkeys down the back of the farm so managed to clean a few up with this ( overkill i know )

Lockdown has provided an opportunity to relax and get back to some fun stuff. I’m lucky to have a range, lathe and barrels under the bench.
Had these two out yesterday. Both R700 ti actions and McMillan A3 stocks. Short is 6.5 PRC, Hardy Carbon at 24 inches, and long is 7-300 wm, hardy at 27 inches.Name: 9F0153F7-A3B9-4F57-A7CA-7B92739111BF.jpeg

Lockdown has been a great opportunity to get onto some projects. Here is a Sako 75 .243 that I picked up cheap a few months back. The floor plate was worn with surface rust, the bolt looked like it had never been cleaned and the stock had been refinished in a semi-gloss poly for some unknown reason.
Now I just need to get some new rings and I can mount the scope

There's no better feeling then when you've restored a gun and it turns out mint. Nice job.
