3 inches sounds real bad with any ammo. The reality is you own it now. You may be able to go down the disputes tribunal rout but that is such crock of shit it could go either way.
    What is the rife?
    Caliber etc.?
Has the rife got a good barrel?
    Who did the work?
My customs with projectiles 10”” off the lands but incorrect powder or charge at worst shoot 1-1.2 moa.
Before continuing the argument autosole it and bring it back to bare steel then do a little development. Even better have the barrel checked with a bore scope after the Autosole. If it’s still 3” I doubt it will ever shoot with any load.

3 inchs is worse than my sporterised 303

Check scope and mounts and bedding for oil, nice action screw torque etc etc, give a bloody good clean and try again.
Still no good I would be upset.
Did the seller make any claim other than " its accurate"?

Ive had it re bedded, crown re cut, checked all the basics with mounts - even put a new scope on it. Its a douglas premium barrel hooked onto a brno action. The action is slick and smooth - love it. Trigger is unbelievable good. Ive tried pretty much everything. Ive never owned a rifle this shit.

I will go down the disputes route as its onky another $45 and a wee bit of time of work. The guy I bought it of just doesnt seem to care - pretty much said its not his probkem. Ive given him the option of taking it back and sorting it out but nope.

Curious to know how this goes as it's no longer the same rifle he sold you? Hope you get a decent resolution.

No not bought of here. TM. Yeah it will be interesting re the disputes - I was hoping that he would gave been more reasonable but he hasn't been. Yes its not in the same condition since I bought it but I would imagine having it rebedded and the crown re cut to try and improve accuracy shouldn't be a hindrance in the case. If it is - so be it - but personally all that proves is that it wasn't shooting right to begin with - who else would buy a new scope and get that work done to a supposedly "very accurate" rifle.

    Cheers.
Well the best target guns would do 1/6th ~ 1/4moa. Tikkas seem to do 3/4moa out of the box so I'd expect grouping inside that, 1/2moa or better.

You bein bad @Maca49. Again I hold the blue pheasant comp at 220 mtrs currently. He's at 212 . 220 is pretty good I reckon.
