Went with no1 son. had a good time and was impressed with most of what I saw. have not been to the sika show for comparison.
Interested in optics, particularly low power stuff, ie 1.5-6 or 2-8 etc. so much focus on this long range hunting that everyone wants a dam telescope on their rifle (and fine reticles that are hard to see), not a lot of small light scopes. did try the vortex 1-8x30 and was pleased i had not gone that way.
Second the comment that purchasing was hard as some did not have efpos. had to go take a slip to the office and return back with the receipt.
good to see some guides and hunting estates there as well.

ps the Garmin stand was disappointing given that just about every hunter and dog user has Garmin products. I've had 4, old 1999 hand held, map62csx, Gps blue tooth thing to connect to my Microsoft Surface for boating and wife got me a watch last year

I heard that what's his face from Gun City dropped a Schmidt and Bender....awkward...maybe he just gave them 30 ranger sights to make up for it.

I thought it was smaller and a lot less going on from last year. Thought it was funny how one company was selling 30rnd pmags for $129, then another company had them for $89...that would rip your undies.

I was impressed with the Gunsnz stand especially the Holosuns. Those optics are a big step up from my Bushnell TRS-25, to be honest I felt it was like looking through an aimpoint. The Delta Mike guys were good to talk to, I didn't realise they were in with Gunsnz.

Tasman industries was selling Aero lowers for $220, that's a good deal.

Good luck. There were about ten things on my list. I ended up with two of them.

I remember the Sika Show had similar problems but they had a central stand that did eftpos/visa transactions on behalf of some businesses.

I can ask GUNSNZ where my tapered front sight block pins are then. Only been waiting 18 months!

I don't have a EFTPOS machine but can take payment through my website or Trademe afterpay from a phone or tablet which is what I did quite a few times yesterday.
With payment express and trademe facilities there isnt really an excuse not to make it available to clients.

Ps. I must admit Im new to TM afterpay so not 100% certain of the ramifications although it does incur a 4.95% fee to use plus TM success fees so its expensive and only up to $1200 so not suitable for higher value items.

I guess you are then hamstrung by cash only buyers unless people want to tick up hefty fees on their CC by transferring funds to their everyday account/paying online. Haven’t used TM after pay though... guessing that takes CC? Wonder if this was a move to reduce the amount of firearms sales, or just piss poor planning on behalf of the organisers?
Easiest way (as you mentioned) would be to have a tablet on hand with a “direct payment” option set up for event sales on your web page. You quote the customer, they select direct payment with a reference number and pay you directly online. No middle man fee’s and the ability for the customer to be able to use CC for payment. Win/Win.

Direct payment through payment express using CC. Same as eftpos.
