Thread: Any waikato mechanics on here at all - need help

Well it looks like I am not going to be paying off a big bill the problem was not what it was originally thought to be it was a rpoblem that could be fixed without a major stripdown I get my wagon back tomorrow

All good RS. There was an alternator mounting bolt I removed and a spacer fell out and when I replaced that bolt and tightened the alternator after putting on a new fan belt and tensioning and as a result of that spacer falling out that I did not notice as everything is hidden by the AC motor I put the bolt through a pipe that runs from the bottom pipe of the radiator back up to the thermostat housing which is what caused the panic so I felt like a bit of a knob having that one happen, but hey we make mistakes just glad it was not any worse, to top it off they found bolts missing from my power steering box and pump and the only ones who touched that was a dodgy mechanical shop the carsales yard I got the car from deals with when they replaced the steering linkages.
