After going to the bootmaker for years to get minor boot repairs done before they develop into something that's gonna cause dramas in the bush, I finally got onto this awesome product - McNett Freesole.
It's an adhesive that has performed faultlessly with every task I've thrown at it - sole repair, rubber rand around the edge of boots etc.
You may have to 'Google' it to find where you can get it and if you've got the time it's cheaper getting it from the USA [shipping included]. There's also some handing hints on how to use the product on YouTube.
Store it in the freezer to prolong it's self-life and place in a cup of hot water when you want to use it.
If you've used a lot of SnowSeal etc on your boots it may be an idea to clean the repair area with Shellite before glueing.
Cheers
What's the Kiwi version of Shellite? Would some thinners work the same to clean wax of leather? Shellite seems to be camping fuel?
