    Just get one in your budget that feels right for ya. Then anything you dislike you can ensure the next one is an improvement.

    Do you want a jacket or a rain coat? Ones that tries to do both tend to be very expensive and heavy when wet.
    Better to get a good fleece top and one of the army surplus gortex type rain coat to go over. Better a few layers than one heavy one.

    just get a pack liner cut two arm holes and a head hole in one end.
