The only way I could leave a knife behind! Would be is to leave my pants and I think I may notice that after walking a little bit further from the Hennessy.
But saying that I was gutting rabbits and stuck it in the ground beside me and walked away.
Never to be seen again. Now in the sheath every time. That new one hardly leaves my side, it's NOT A can I use your knife.

Not exactly a knife but new to my collection. Not sure year of manufacture but early though, with stag antler handle. Had my eye out for one of these for years.

Scored this on a turners auction after losing 2 times last week (hats off to the gent who spent a fortune outbidding me twice). BUT an S1pro came up so all's good. The LamCos steel seems to be a fav with the youtube knife nerds.
You can get cheap upgraded sheaths online too if you catch a one with the old style and want to get the cam locked one. That was about $40 landed. Knife was $395 so I was pretty happy

    Nice!
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

Very nice. I've never found a reason to complain about the 'old' laminated VG10 on my F1 and the Lam Cos is supposed to be even better.

I always think of these when someone makes blanket statements about stainless knives being rubbish and basic alloys of carbon steel being vastly superior. If only they knew...

Yep bad technique will blunt the best of knives. Or using one as an axe when you could have just brought a hatchet. I bought a 450gram one from bunnings for 9 freakin dollars. Beats ruining any knife imo

My first attempt at making a knife. Made this at a class last year that my wife booked me in for a birthday present. Overall very happy with it, but I didn’t manage to get it nearly as sharp as I’d have liked so it hasn’t seen much use yet. So a couple weeks ago I sent it up to @Shelley who confirmed my suspicions that the bevel wasn’t acute enough for the blade thickness. He re-beveled and polished up the edge for me and it’s now got a very nice edge on it. Shoutout to Shelley, and highly recommend his sharpening services.

Latest couple of projects just in time for Christmas. Shout out to Ross Nolan on the forum for pohutakawa handle scales really enjoyed working with it. First couple of pouches I have made too, unfortunately put the blades back in sheaths to soon and developed some minor rust spots, cleaned up pretty good though. Name: IMG_7122.jpeg
