What sort of golf do you play? I may have to reconsider my opinion of the game.

A walk without a gun is a waste of time

Mind you, hunting and golf have their similarities. Golf involves a lot of clubbing which possumers can relate to, and both involve a lot of walking with similar amounts of inherent frustration!!

Well, to be fair - if you're doing it right you don't have to walk too far to hit the golf balls with a gun.

golf is akin to sex both reuire the placing of a small object in an equally small hole with a device unsuited for the task ,all the time feigning pleasure, but with sometimes unintended outcomes.
in case you hadnt guessed it this is written in officalese like the arms act!

I finally went and bought a roll of 3/8” .058 full chisel skip chain & made a 24” chain up.

So far I’ve only had time to run it on the 572, it worked wonderfully but I need to use it some more to get a real feel for it and to run it in different woods.

I’m yet to put it on the 592 and see how that saw performs.

I tried a roll and it goes all good on a 22 inch bar.
I think it would be better suited to bigger bars like 30-36 where you need better clearing.
I bought a roll of hexachain to but won't bother with that again as the files are a pain.
Hard to go past stihl super chisel if cutting clean wood.

I feel Stihl super chisel chain with its high chromium content cutters is probably the longest lasting chain known to man, least stretch and stays sharpest the longest in any wood type. Stihl has the best files too

Yeah, I have been impressed with how little stretch I got out of the three chains I bought with my 400i. And it stays sharp significantly longer than the chains I make up out of a roll of Oregon.

A mate uses stihl files and finds them useless.

Have you tried Vallorbe made files?

Tried a few files over time, there’s definitely a technique to getting them to remove metal properly
