    Good. Grief.

If you have large amounts of money to throw away no wonder you don’t GAF. Not all of us can go out and spend that way. If I could sell two to buy one I would but I can’t. Can you comprehend that echo bravo foxtrot?

...big assumption here: money tied up in now illegal firearms = no money to put into legal ones until payout received.

The only thing stopping this being ridiculous is that it may be true....

See what is happening already ? Guys like keneff are leaving because they cant handle people having different views...

Do we really want the forum to become a "safe space" for only those who buy into one particular political view ?

Seriously guys, STOP the political shit and go back to talking about firearms, hunting and outdoors.
Unlike you @ebf, I don't have a problem with people having differing opinions. I love debate and difference, It's what we are supposed to have a right to. The political shit revolves around what YOU are going to be allowed to do. Bury your head in the bullet stop if you want to, but do not tell me to do the same

When did avoiding the difficult issues result in everyone just getting along exactly? This has been a common occurrence through the entire time that this forum has existed. Despite the no politics/religion policy.

Pretending something doesn't exist isn't a solution. Learning how to be robust and not throw tantrums is a far better outcome. That requires practice, not pretending.

By the way - where do all the balls and kids go after they leave the sandpit?

    @keneff, pull you head in

i shot competitive service rifle, so don't go assuming I am not affected by this

so currently I can not use semi's, but I am doing everything I can to support the service rifle orgs and continue to attend shoots using a bolt gun.

or I guess I can curl up in a little ball, cry and give up...

You could take your own advice ebf. You still have a legal gun. Lucky you. I don’t know anyone crying or giving up but no wonder you don’t care because you’re still ‘allowed’ to shoot. Will you be quite so blasé when you can’t? And how do you know which guns will still be legal after the next tranche?

Do what you want, mate, while you can. And I don't care what you've done. Good onya for whatever. What I DO care about is what you can do tomorrow. AND what I can do, or my nephews, or my mate's kid or YOUR kid, or the neighour down the road's kid. But never mind, I might as well curl up in a ball with you other gutless cunts who give a fuck about nothing except yourselves. You just don't get what's happening, do you? Fuckwit ignoramus. Political fodder.

I thought you had thrown your toys and left? I'm glad you've stuck around but please don't be so mean to one person if they have a different view.. I'll never call you a fuckwit just because you think differently..... show some maturity

Mate, I love your concern and appreiate it. I have left, but keep getting notices on my phone. I don't have toys I can afford to throw, and i try not to be petty, REALLY try. but a fuckwit is a fuckwit and some of us don;t seem to see what is going on or how it's going to affect us all. So I say what I say, and if you don't like what I say, I can't help tht, either, but it is what it is and we'll all soon be told to hand ALL our firearms in to the plod. Do you not see this?

well I for one have just about had enough....so many forum users are starting to look like loonie tunes as of late.... (its nearly as bad at the other pub when anyone bothers to walk through the batwing doors).... at least in that establishment the politics HAVE thier own section so its easy to avoid it....
funny just how many still frequent both.......

I do wonder sometimes if people stop and think...a copper will probably be reading this soon...before letting loose with a torrent of abuse... sad state of affairs all around.
    take care people.

Well I’m at an age, like Keneff, where I lived through lots of changes in NZ. I have never felt so sad and bad about my country, this knee jerk bullshit has had a severe affect on me personally and I am not affected with any of my firearms, YET. I’ve never been so personally upset by any govt. and I lived through Muldoon, very high interest rates and Aramoana. I’ve endured some hard times and worked hard, paying tax all my life and never taken anything back, except for my pension, which I also get screwed on because I am married and still work.
I’ll thank some these guys for helping know I’m not the only one feeling like this. When I line up this MP next week I hope I can get through to him how not only myself but so many others are feeling the same. Thanks to @Woody for the phone calls!
You young bucks should sit up and take note, you should also make sure your thoughts are conveyed to your MPs, you have many years to live and your freedoms are being eroded at an alarming rate!
