    You're doing it wrong, teach it to walk on a lead then you don't have to carry it.

    It's a bit hard to lead a sheep and a chicken I guess I can make it saddle bags then I can have lamb chops and chicken

    I usually take boiled eggs on my fishing day trip in a bag. On longer trips usually in a egg carrier/holder.

    About eggs longevity, we did a road trip in Dec 2020 and took eggs with us in a holder. Came back home, kept the holder in its place in Kitchen. Last week I was travelling so took it out and found one raw egg in it. Was looking okay so made an omelette and ate it, still alive. That egg survived 1 year and 3 months of Indian summer/winters and was still edible .
