The former. Asking him why he purchased X amount of Y cartridges and doesn't he think that's too much etc.

Well in the world of lobbying for change, you take your "friends" as you find them, a sympathetic ear is just that and can be utilised but it's not an overnight thing. The trump comparison was disingenuous at best or a not so thinly veiled ad hominen. I notice you didn't add anything constructive about what might be done..............

The answer is SFA. That wont change. In fact I would guess that most LFO's wouldn't vote on a single issue anyway, 'cos they are ordinary people with many other things to worry about. Thats the reality. And it's why we should all belong to representative organisations like the NZDA to ensure we have a collective voice.
Single issue voting for sure won't happen BUT several issues with Firearms overreach being one of them could well swing SOME to vote differently which may well not be enough to engender change BUT we don't know so what, carry on as we are and watch our "privileges" shrink or do something, apathy is very real, not just in NZ and that just allows the "system" to do what it likes. Thatcher was on the money in an interview where she said it's the governments position to serve the liberties of the citizens.....
Meanwhile we're all just blowing hot air out of our arses on forums and thinking we're making a difference by paying subs to an umbrella organisation to do the heavy lifting for us.................history shows that achieves sweet FA

Im one of those people. Though I wouldn't describe myself as a trumptard.

You have made a statement. Now Id ask you why she is not our friend?

As far as I see she is a representative of our community who has actually managed to get into parliament. That said we have to be realistic in our opinions of what she can achieve as one person. In a party, in a coalition. representing max 5% of population who, if this thread is anything to go by. Can't themselves agree on shit.

So you tell me what she could do better.

In that case given your response to STC question...clearly they are already aware or notified through electronic transaction of ammo purchases, unless it was triggered by a large bulk purchase at point of sale. I'd be quite happy if someone tells me I'm wrong!

Bit rich asking for "anything" constructive when all some people can do is act like Karens when a politician that they have idolized is questioned.

If you can't put forward strong reasoning to support your opinions. You might be wrong.

Tell me what you understand of our electoral system? This might be dangerous grounds on this forum so I dont wish for you or I to get a ban. But it seems that for the reasons I outlined, your wish is harder to deliver on than you realise.

    Why isn't she out friend?

Who's being the Karen? No idolising going on here, McKee is one of the few backing our corner and you still haven't added anything constructive, as usual you just blow in with insults which is generally how you roll from what I've seen......
You've added nothing because you have nothing to add, prove me wrong, I'll wait..................

I understand enough of the electoral system to know that blaming a coalition partner is as old as coalitions themselves.

As for why she might not be what a lot of people hoped she would, Let us wait for a few more months, I have a sneaking suspicion that when the first draft ot the new "fairer" arms act comes out the "keetards" will be a lot quieter around here... And yes I absolutely hope I am wrong.

As for what "we" can do: Maybe reminding certain elected politicians that the votes we cast previously in good faith, can be withheld 3 years later could be a start. They seem to forget that at times. Apart from that? unfortunately not a whole lot I fear.

No, sorry, you'll either have to pay somebody that is capable of using a browser and search engine or figure it out yourself.

Look I can't reply to you fully, because I dont wish a ban.

All I will say is that having been in minor politics, compromise is a cornerstone and sometimes it's impossible to achieve what you want. But being there is important, and sometimes its the things you change or prevent that the public dont see that's also important.
