I dismantle the BCG spray it in brake clean and clean dry and re oil. Spray brake clean down the gas tube and barrel pull barrel thru and light oil. Blow compressed air down the gas tube.
They once upon a time used to issue pipe cleaners for the gas tube never tried it and never bothered they just keep shooting and shooting. Any carbon probably ends up in the BCG anyway.
