    Firearm Safety by Default

Looking at rural property via a well known website. Fotos of inside of house... lounge. Up on wall proudly under the usual red deer head was a 303 with bolt in hung up on the wall.Funny how neither the website known for its idiotic rules nor the real estate agency picked it up. The fotos also proudly recorded the address of the property. You can bet your last dollar if it was a FAL holder their licence would be revoked for lack of gun safety.

Or maybe the bolt has been welded in place and the bore completely plugged and its no longer a firearm it just looks like one ?
Just like the canons displayed at war memorials and RSA clubs etc....

According to current legislation that isn't enough.
By replacing components it would be returned to a useable condition, so the owner needs a license, and the ornament needs to be locked up.

And the ironic thing is I've got a 4x2 sitting out on my deck unsecured, Add enough components and it'll be a working firearm.

All you need is a barrel, a trigger assembly and an action and you can turn any peice of lumber from a bus stop seat into a firearm.
