Has anyone been able to get through to them on the phone in the last few days??
5 times I tried just today waiting 20mins each time and no answer!!
I love the message they give about doing it online. Except actually transferring firearms.

I got through before Christmas - waited on hold from 4:30pm - 4:59pm they answered, I told them I needed to transfer a firearm, they said there's not time to do that before 5pm and hung up
If my work annoys me, I cull them

    Fantastic.
Luck of the draw, I had a stage there where I was on hold for hours (it seemed, accurately more like 30 minutes) and then the call dropped after someone said hello. Got through earlier today in 12 minutes and the lady was competent if not really good

The only trick I've found is as others have mentioned, hit the call button at bang on 8.30am.
Failing that you end up wasting a lot of your life you're never getting back.

tried once & gave up after 35 mins on hold, second time got through to a very helpful guy after 55 mins this morning. Had to register by phone as the XBolt wasn't listed in my calibre of 6.5x55
If i could have a full time job shooting pests i'm up for over time.

Yes - for public servants they need to up their game considerably.

Employing third world folk for whom English is not their first language is a recipe for disaster......

i bought a rifle this morning. Rang the registry at about 130pm to register it. Pretty much went straight through to a guy who then got the whole process completed for me in 5 minutes. He was really friendly and polite to the point I let him know how much I appreciate him making what I thought would be a difficult process really easy and straightforward. Thought I'd share as the just after lunch slot may be worth targeting if you're trying to avoid being on hold for a bit. Cheers
