I'm wondering if they have changed the system as I had to register soon after it went live due to moving house. Then you could not see anything you had registered without doing the Police station thing even though I already had a RealMe from dealing with IRD.

The only thing I could see was that I had registered some rifles but not the details.

You still have to do the verify at police station thing, I can’t see a firearm I registered by phoning in. I have a realme login as well.

I have realme, did the verification stuff and can see all of my registered firearms, all of which where registered over the phone.
Literally just checked and yup still easy to check and has been ever since I got my realme set up quite some time ago.

another fruitless day of no-one answering the phone.......

Thats nine unanswered calls over three days , various times , various lengths of holding on , just another waste of my time trying to comply but being prevented by the system.

Hire more people , for heavens sake..... how hard can that be , eh

I got the paperwork finished and out of the dunny, quietly, and we had a lovely chat about guns and stuff. The operator made it easy and painless. It was only about 70 minutes until the phone was answered, and 90 minutes before we stopped chatting. All and all, a very pleasant process. I notified the seller that I had done my bit, he text me back later to say, "all done," at this end, so we are all sweet and legit. Great system, no worries.
Far out, you consider 90 minutes of your day gone a great system?

I reckon it's everything in the way that you hold the phone. Left hand, forefinger pointed at 90 deg and no muttering of abusive words, they hear all.

Since I've started phoning right on 8-30am problems of continual waiting have dispersed. Find it harder to contact the large LPG gas delivery company which has been allowed to take over our small company by commerce commission, service has turned to crap.

Finally got through today after not one but two hour-long on hold listening to the annoying message and awful music. Not impressed wastinf all that time for one transfer .....

Thats eleven phone calls to finally get an answer . No private business would survive that level of incompetance. I have to add that the people who answer are helpfull and polite - it isnt them thats the issue

You got that correct first time, our original contract stated 5 working days for delivery, now become 10-15 working days due to LPG shortage which no one but them know about.

Wasn't that something they wanted to add? I heard that when you buy ammo, you need to specify the number of rounds and the type. Or is that just buying online, and I can go into Hunting and fishing without worrying about that?
