Being a Grendel I’d say the lighter 100gr would be the go on deer and pigs at around 2700-2800 fps.

Pretty sure they are, labelled as Silenz. I stand to be corrected tho'. Stick to what you know best, I'd say.

Pommy liked post by chainsaw On thread : 284 win vs 280ai
Should not be an issue with feeding, you might have to open up the lips on the mag slightly for284 but not a show stopper. I’m not a gun smith but I’d be asking another Smith for a 2nd opinion. 284...

Around .030" jump, which is a lot but my Mag can only accept a COAL of 3.4 so I stick below that.

You're possibly alluding to the stapedial reflex which is in fact totally useless for intense impact sounds like rifle shots. As for the harden-up approach of Woodsy, he may be one of the lucky...

Pommy liked post by Spitfire On thread : Dpt suppressor
It’s a trade off between size, weight and noise reduction, cos physics. Small and light = louder, big and heavy = quieter. I think DPT has the balance about right, but still need ear defence on...
