35litre waterproof gear bag at GC
The old NZ army dpm, been used a lot since I got them 19yrs ago. They had a hard time in really tough heather for years too.
Plenty of pigs, the odd goat in places. Nailed a load of possums and rabbits up near there in September. Possums everywhere on the peninsula.
I have access to a clearing that I've taken numerous reds off. It's top of a big hill, no real water for a decent way into the bush, and every time I, the cocky, or his other mates go there, we see...
Winchester 100gn Power Points sacked 3 reds on the spot at 200mtrs a few weeks back. It's all I use.
Yes it was Zimmer
Spent 17yrs in Dublin. Not always wet like that clip, a bit more so than here, but some stunning weather(for that part of the world) too.
To be honest, the cold didn't bother me, probably prefer...
Mercator and Opinel
I use the Tatonka day bag, think it's called the Stealth, in camo. Can't fault it. Had a very heavy meat load in and on it last week.
Possibly a Crans Bully, going by colours on top of dorsal.
Ask on Native new Zealand fish keepers on FB.
I'm just using a Foodsaver VS4500 for the last maybe 5yrs, about $100ish on sale. First couple of years I was doing 2 dozen pheasant a week during season, plenty of ducks, geese, etc and rabbits. In...
Found I believe.
Well done that man. Good write up too.
Sorry for your loss Dundee
My mate over those ways called a fox in a couple of weeks ago and dropped it with a load of BBs from an old side by side hammer gun. I have the video, very skilful calling with just mouth on back of...
Cracking vids. No fancy expensive kit, just good old kiwi go do it.
Be careful on the roads up here, too many shiny utes towing shiny toys on the wrong side of the road.
Welcome, great intro.
I read this thread hoping everyone's current favourite southerner was going to post saying he drives his Swift, or whatever, through flooded rivers and returns with 23 deer, 48 ducks, 3 pigs and a...
My 1st .22, in fact still my main one 34yrs and tens of thousands of rounds later.
I mostly used Remington Yellow Jackets, great stuff. Still have a few boxes and a full brick.
Yes, Friwi that De Lisle was something else, I can't get it out of my head, I've always wanted one. One day.
Does anyone know the name of the stand outside, sold bbqs, the one that did them in shape of boars, etc?
Seen a few up there lately, but all on private.
I'm using 7mmRM, mostly on fallow at the moment, last weekend dropped 5 fallow(max range 270m) and 4 goats(max 50m), and tbh I find there's not too much meat waste, maybe a kg or 2 of trim, more than...
I hope Cindy didn't see that
