Hiya Gibo. My great grandparents and I were born here. You might be a tourist - but I an NOT. If you're a tourist, wotdafuk are you doing hunting in MY country????
I think you may have badly missed @Gibo s point!
"Here's the deal I'm the best there is. Plain and simple. I wake up in the morning and I piss excellence."
You think like that when ya go to the big West Island and further afield....do ya Gimp...do ya then....lmao...!
Never been out of nz and have no intention of it.
The best camouflage pattern is 'hold still and be quiet. '
Tourism is not "shit". It is an important part of the New Zealand economy, many people and subsidiary industries rely on it for an income.
Touring hunters make up a miniscule portion of those tourists. It's a really long way for most hunters to travel (with the exception of Australia) and realistically, there's not really much here to get excited about when compared with other countries that are 1) closer, 2) greater biodiversity 3) cheaper.
I don't really see what the problem is as far as foreign hunters are concerned?
Nothing against tourist hunters.
They should have to pay comparable fees to what is required to hunt in other countries and should never be allowed into ballots.
Heaps of UK hunters for example, come here on the cheap and we can't hunt there without mortgaging a house.
Tourist hunters should be contributing financially at least.
Our rules and public land access is pathetically soft and in time if not addressed, it will ruin the realative freedom we enjoy now.

Do what ya want! Ya will anyway.
Sorry R93, but you can hunt in UK without massive expense. You just need to know people in the right places.
Nz sure as shit ain't a cheap destination to visit on holiday these days.

That's another issue entirely. You need to know someone.
You don't need to know anyone to hunt here.
If you don't know anyone you pay and pay shitloads in Scotland/Ireland where I have been. I knew people and was still expected to pay more than I could afford.
I have dealt with heaps of hunters from all around the UK. There are heaps still coming here chasing thar and chams mainly.
It is Australians that have it to easy at the moment. Cheaper for them to hunt here than it is for me to drive up and hunt sika.
