90% of us still can’t hunt then.
Couldnt travel apart from essentials @Dev and now can so long as its not to "far"?

Yes you were allowed to travel, you were not allowed to travel to just “hunt” but you were aloud to “pest control”, farm work etc..
    See where I’m coming from....?

Travel on your own farm or on the farm you work to do so but not from home if you live in town ? So i thought anyway .But level 3 anyone isolating in town can travel to a property in their region to hunt/shoot meat. What I take from it is if i got pulled up with a fire arm in level 4 im breaking the rules but in level 3 if I get pulled up with a firearm its ledgit so long as im in my region. Im not talking about joy rides with a firearm I mean on the way hunting

This is also going to drive a wedge between us, which is the last thing we need. If you have land you can hunt, by all means go get em. But to try to keep shitfights to a minimum maybe its a good idea to keep the pictures and stories of private land hunts quiet until we've reached level 2 when everyone can get out there.

Looks like I'll have to go tramping on public land then.

When tramping one should carry a firearm as a means of notifying others when in distress...or some such excuse...just remember to take the suppressor off if one needs to be heard.

seems fairly consistent with the "no fishing from boats" thing, "keep the bulk of the idiots avoiding each other" if possible and minimize people moving about" AKA "stay at home if possible".

This is just ludicrous . I can go hunting on Private land but only if I walk , so how does the farmer/forester get around a magic carpet ? . But if I turn up with a mountain bike , go for it And I can't hunt Public land ? ,why because there are all those dangerous bikers and trampers .
Boy am I lucky to have such far thinking Politicians looking out for my well being , just think of all those dangerous things I could be doing without their consistent guidance .

This is utterly discriminatory. Land incl farms and Forests in "multiple iwnership" will be hunted, probaly ink Ureweras and similar but citizens are not petmitted to hunt their OWN PUBLIC LANDS.
I have sent clear message to MP at Parliament watch dogs committee. I hope others do the same.
Sage should be locked away along with Ardern and their discriminatory caucus IMO.

There is no logical rational for hunting on private land by anyone other than the landowner as others coming in breaks "bubbles" which the last month was designed to prevent.
This new rule appears to be designed to help hunting estates and iwi only.
I can't travel 2hrs South to hunt sika, taking my whole "bubble" (wife) with me, to hunt with no contact with anybody, but I can take my kontiki to my nearest beach. That is a near 3hrs to either coast.
The PM said to not try anything you are not proficient at. My wife and I have over 100yrs of hunting experience between us, but it seems that ain't enough.

I’m not sure how they can legally stop you from using a vehicle on private land if you have the owners permission to hunt there?

Sage, sticking it to hunters any chance she gets.......

It’s blatant discrimination against law abiding firearm license holders and the use of public land!! imo
