Another Tikka T3 But a little different

Midget (30CalTerry) is gonna start building a new gun so told me I had to buy his old one.
His last Fallow was at 320 yards and the one prior was 470 something
After shooting a deer in the neck at 175 yards myself and a gong at 200 both effortlessly I said " Giz it here then."

300 Win Mag Hardy Mag Suppresser , trigger 1.5 Pounds, 20 MOA Rail, Bell and Carlson proper stock
FX3 12X40 Scope. And about a million hours laod development its a better shooter than me and my 308 had
about three times the recoil. 4.2Kgs without the Bi Pod so doable at the speed I travel ha ha ...
And he thinks Im gonna pay him one day ...Brilliant ... Oh yeah I will Midge ....

    Rem 700 5 R 300 Win Mag Its been bought I beleive..

The tikka goes good enough with 165 Amaxs I think it is
but cant take the extra length for the 208s and he wants to try a deer at 700 to 1000 at some stage
so some work to do first and more dosh to pour at it.. but this Tikka is actually the best one I v ever used....
Its my third one and leaves the others ...

Nice, looking at either that stock or a skeleton to replace the A2 on mine.

I like my short skeleton stock, it suits the way I shoot and feels much better than an A2 length to me.

Magpul have a new Carbine length fixed stock coming out.

Ta. yes the No 5 is an interesting beast. Now I've had shoulder bruising quite a number of times before but nothing like after the first range session with the No 5. Looks like I was the first to shoot it, which was nice, and it groups 1.5". Not too shabby without load tuning and had this thought of taking it out hunting one day, but I really doubt if my hand will get past the Sako85.

    Cheers guys

Yep, definately going to hand load, factory ammo is way too expensive for it!
Looking at either 270gr ttsx or 300 ttsx and later a 300gr solid.

Might also look at a softer 270gr and load it down to about 2200fps for a bush load.
