Bushnell s warranty on certain products ( some of the lower end products will soon be marketed under Tasco ) is forever , as long as you have the original receipt of purchase , proof of a payment via a bank statement will not be accepted, so make sure you keep your receipt.

And if you bother to read the gumph on the Bushnell warranty, you will find that it only applies to purchases after a given date

Got the sightron back, less my original receipt so I'll ask DED to issue another one. Scope reportedly had debris on the collector lens. Fitted it back up but yet to shoot it. Definitely no optical blurs or shit floating around compared to before.

Well, the forever warranty is new from bushnell, its joined the others that have given life time warranties to cover anything so still is pretty good if you in the market for a new scope. Still ahead of Leupold as they still havnt joined the party to cover damage , just to fix faults and they seem to have as many faults as any others out there.
It does say on products purchased from JAN 1 2016 onwards but heres what it states

Bushnell's No Questions Asked Lifetime Warranty Promise

We’re proud to guarantee your complete satisfaction, and promise to repair or replace your product and ship it back to you at absolutely no charge. This fully transferable warranty covers accidental damage, as well as any defects in materials and workmanship, for the life of the product. *

Fully transferable, covers accidental damage as well as defects in materials & workmanship.
No receipt or warranty card is required.
We will repair or replace product with equal or similar value and/or specifications.
We will return product to you at no charge.

Interesting it does state no receipt is required and is fully transferable, straight from their website so dont know who said a receipt is required. Plus older models are still covered under the old warranty that fix faults of course

Thanks for the info regarding receipts, only relaying what we were told by the importer, but will check with them.

Also, who decides what is the life of the product.
I'd assume it will be the manufacturer, not the purchaser.
