About LinkBacksSon n law up in Pilbara last week.Him and his team of mechanics just fitted a new factory crate Cat diesel motor in a large dump truck.Motor 84litre,V16,2750hp.Done pre tests befor hand.Started truck up,engine went for 5 seconds and dropped a valve,they heard lots of loud noises they werent happy about.Fluids from one side flowed thru to opposite bank,totally hydrolicked?.Motor cost $1.1million,now to find another motor and get this one overhauled.
The workshop team werent happy,and they have fitted dozens of new motors befor.
