Up North it's a Compass Trailer in Dargavile that you have to get.
I have an 8x5 Domestic Grade one from them. Very happy with it, Ply deck, Has both tie down hooks and a rail around the top of the sides. Plus a cross brace on the draw bar, and braces on the wheel guards as well
Plenty of options including different floor material
They also do Farm and Commercial trailers as well.

Further to previous post if you can afford it the the Keas or Prescotts of which I have used around here are good.
They are a better trailer than the Titan I got.
But for what I need a trailer for now I couldn't justify the the price difference.
The old story you cannot go too far wrong buying the most expensive you can afford be it a shotgun ,rifle, pack or trailer.

So, in which category are you placing the Keas and Prescotts?

The area from the rear of the mudguard to the base of the taillight on the Kea is a shit design, way tidier on the Prescott.

Thanks for making me double check those Kea lights, I overlooked how they are on the far outters, I can see myself catching on them especially in the dark.
As a result, I’ve put in order in with Prescott Trailers, had a good yak to them over the phone, took the time to go through my options, added a few things on etc.

Many thanks for everyone’s recommendations, appreciate the insight & knowledge, will hopefully be on the road with my trailer and quad bike in the near future and won’t need to reply on the good will of others to borrow their trailers.
Timing should be right for a trail ride with @hotbarrels
Grouchy Smurf had it right all along...

Sounds like a plan. Just need to pass inspection with the back surgeon in two weeks time, then survive the Easter weekend bunny shoot and then we will have to book a ride.

Brand new, and have dealt with several of their product - they are usually well designed and well built gear. Have had one that I won't specify that was a really poorly thought out design, lovely build quality but a prick of a thing for useability. Since been redesigned.

Also had the misfortune of using a couple of both manufacturer's that had been totally abused and brought second hand at prices well in excess of what the trailers were worth which in my opinion was scrap steel money ($1 a Kg would have been fair).

One was twisted so badly the tail gate and drop sides would not go back on when we took them off. Was strapped to a bloody strong heading grid with solid timber dunnage that happened to be lying there getting some other work done and pulled up with a couple of lever hoists until we ended up cracking welds. At that point it was within 50mm of straight and we gave up and cleaned it up some and blue glued it back together. After that it was near straight but still basically rooted.

Just on another note, make sure you lock your trailer some how. There’s a shit load of trailers that get stolen every year as they are very easy to re register in another name ( no vin numbers )
My neighbour had his tandem trailer stolen and we live down a private driveway which always seemed pretty secure.
