They look legal......Its only 250mm down here for minimum size which is too small but if it was bigger then trawlers would have to discard too many dead undersize snapper.

Shit 250!! The best thing they did up here was make it 300 from 270. Even with 2 less fish per bag (7) its more food on the plate. So how do the commercial guys up here not dump more with the rule changes? Doesn't quite make sense

They will be dumping more it is inevitable.
I dont think many if any rec fishers in Nelson would keep a snap under 300mm excepting kids first fish/swallowed hook etc
