Thats all good, but its a fact that some models of rifles in a half cock position if the trigger is pulled it will slam shut and fire. Even if the Tikka wont do this normally if what was stated at the start is the facts, and it was taken to a gunsmith and a half cock Mod was done the gunsmith should of fully tested it after and theres no way if this was done that shutting the bolt the things firing.
If the post hasnt stated the real facts ...well, thats a different story but thats what was stated, so unless you think hes relating BS to us the gunsmith is clearly at fault. Doesnt matter if the Mod did something or not, it should of been tested and declared safe by the gunsmith
