All you can do is play by the rules and make the informstion you supply as accurate as you can.

It seems FSA is just like most other Corporate NZ workplaces looking at todays news.

I know this will likely trigger some people but my point is FSA is no different to anwhere esle really!

This, despite me having to get a permit to import, and the NZP having drilling on their list.
Hopefully whoever checks will be as clueless as whoever set the system up - and i haven't started on my l/h .54 flintlock, which they have categorized as a percussion/flintlock. WTF is that? Two locks on a single barrel, maybe?

Like a fair bit in life, the secret to happiness when dealing with the FSA is going in with very low expectations.
Did you ring them ? Not picking a fight, genuinely curious?

    Yes I rang.

As both the flintlock and drilling didn't appear on the DIY section, I had to do it via phone call(s). So far I've spent nearly 2.5 hours trying to get this right.

Three calls, and still the wrong details loaded - but apparently that's as good as it's going to get.

The folks on the phone were polite, keen to be helpful and unable to get the job done.

Did mine yesterday. Had some fun with the 6.5 06 it wasnt in their system and the guy had never heard of one. So he ran through all the 6.5s asking was it one of these. It was like no to all of them. So he asked whats it close to? I said similar to a 270 but not as gay. He pissed him self for a bit and then manually entered it.....I hope....

Wot? 6.5-06 not in the system? Surely someone else would have registered theirs, not like that's exactly scarce???

Sounds like it went ok though. I imagine you had a few to do.
Restraint is the better part of dignity. Don't justify getting even. Do not do unto others as they do unto you if it will cause harm.

    Rang back. 53 minutes.

Firearm I was transferring to me was registered with an incorrect serial number. Fixed over the phone.

Whats the deal if you sell a firearm but someone else is picking it up, do you register it to the buyer or the person who picks it up? I forgot to ask them the other day

I've delivered a few rifles to/from people on here and some shops. As long as I showed that I had the correct license no paperwork was required as it wasn't in my possession for the 30 day maximum.

Geez, Awaiting my licence renewal, today I go to buy some ammo, check the register and no it’s not current and cannot purchase.
Then I think, I’m waiting for a call to arrange a time for a visit, maybe that call ain’t coming, because after the call to ask me if I wanted to renew my licence and telling them I already had applied, and after the person confirmed I had, maybe she never actioned it. The next call maybe to collect my firearms for not having a current licence.
Be stern words on Monday, after my 40min wait for them to answer the phone.
Drives one nuts, but hey that’s what they want
