How fast are the SST’s going? We have probably shot in excess of 150 reds with the same load and never, ever have had an issue from 4 yards to 400. We have seriously road tested them.

Another vote for the 165gr SST. Superb bullet out of a 308 at moderate 2,500-2650 velocities. Or if you can get them 165gr Nosler Partitions - another superb bullet.
What sort of noises are you making to call in pheasants. In fact you shouldn’t be making any noise or noises.
I also need to add that after about 200m the deer often move off about 10-15 metres before keeling over.
I haven’t got the data on hand at the moment. But I think 46. It’s a mild load 2,550 but speed isn’t everything with that caliber and bullet. You can dial if you need to at longer ranges. Don’t let...
RL 22 and 143gr Eldx work stunningly well in terms of accuracy and performance on game out of my Tikka.

Apparently if you carry an ice axe when doing your training walks, fully loaded pack and in ya tacticool clothing makes you fitter, stronger better. Not too much ice up Gisborne way or Mt Kaukau...

Hi Team
I know this question is as long as a piece of string.
My dream rifle is a fully wooded Mannlicher-Schoenauer. However there are many models, many calibers and varying conditions and...
It’s great taking the kids out. I started my twin boys duck shooting when they were 4. They stayed deer hunting with me when they were 6. I have a picture somewhere of James trying to poke the eyes...
Reloader 22. Not high speeds 2,550 but insane accuracy and hitting power with 143gr Eld-X.
Good to know Al. I’m looking at one to put on that 8x57 I bought off you.
Hi Team
Has anyone purchased anything from this site?

Looks great in terms of the scopes available for those old Mausers, BSA’s, Husqvarna’s and Winchesters...
Actually I’m scratching my head over that post too. Maybe there is something we have both missed.
Aside from that awesome pics fellas.
Checked it out, looked up the markings etc and according to the previous owner, who collects them it is a Hunter Viscount. So we are both correct. Still could be wrong. But it doesn’t matter as I’ve...
Yup have taken Gary up on his offer.

Mathias here you go.
You will notice that one of the existing rings has had the screw that tightens it to the dovetail broken. It has been replaced with a bolt whilst maybe effective is not that...
Easy. I’ll post a few shortly as the rifle is at the moment.
Hi Team.
I’ve just picked up a lovely BSA Hunter in 7x57. From what I can glean from the internet the dovetails are 19mm. So from the BSA owners out there, what are the best/better mounts out there...
Where are the mods. Enough is enough surely.
