I'd like to get a 357 for him too. Don't think he'll let me take this one to Stewart Is.

I'm in a group, paid deposit. Early 2021. North Lords I think.

Marlin 1895 Dark Series with a Bushnell Trophy XLT 3-9x40 and DPT mk2 suppressor. Additional Pachmayr Decelerator slip-on to increase length of pull, not just because I'm scared of it...
    Calibre .45-70 Government.

Future changes will be a less practical but more pretty leather buttstock cuff with cheek riser, and I've now decided I want a Vortex Strike Eagle 1-8x using the cantilever mount backwards.

That a nice looking set up. My son is quite interested in exactly that rifle/suppressor combo. ( if we can fine one at the mo) Have you shot it yet? How do you find the noise/recoil with suppressor. We would definitely reload for it and have a play with subsonic and cast lead.

Not fired it yet. Will report when I get the chance. Planning to do my own cast lead subsonic thing as well.

    Rossi 92, in 44/40.
Now to work up some loads.
He nui to ngaromanga, he iti to putanga.

You depart with mighty boasts, but you come back having done little.
Sounds like a typical hunting trip !
