A post I read from him a few pages back said he was no longer selling, unless that has changed? If so i’m keen but otherwise it looks like Ali Express, although I do see some NZ based places selling them so might try look into that.

@mudgripz it might be best to tag you in here, i think i could explain but you would do it better.

Pretty sure that you fellas in the market for a maxtoch will have to get them from Ali Express these days. Shame although that is, they are bloody good torches.

Out of interest @gadgetman / @mudgripz you made any progress on the new line?

rivers to ranges are selling them here in Canterbury, I'd assume there North Island store will be selling them too, you are correct Mudgripz severed ties with Maxtoch, doesn't change the fact that they are currently one of the best bang for buck torches available on the market in NZ....for now

True. Even more bang for the buck before they had an NZ distributor. Prices literally doubled overnight. No disrespect to Mudgripz. I bought a torch from him and he was great to deal with.

Yeah as mentioned you will have to get them from Maxtoch themselves on Aliexpress since Mudgripz stopped bringing them in.
Just make sure you get at least the 3400mAh batteries from them too, since they need some grunt to run them and other sellers "panasonic" batteries, are likely "chinese mAh" AKA actually a lower rating.

I'm also pretty keen to hear on any new uber torches Mudgripz and co are working on. I suspect supply chain issues are impacting any development at this stage.

Oh and a dedomed 2X kicks arse

Hello guys - just to confirm we are no longer designing with or selling Maxtochs. Yes looking at new product range - much superior designs to the maxtochs, but covid shutdowns etc affecting anything chinese even now. Will be a while. Bit dear to manufacture in NZ, and not just a matter of grabbing any chinese company. A lengthy process to find one of 100s you want to work with.

Did you both buy them off me or elsewhere?

That's the problem now - some maxtochs sold here and there in NZ but no real warranty.
