I reckon it will do for my lifetime. It's got a 5 3/4" blade. I skinned my first goat with a similar length skinning knife (from my father in law's meatworks days) and it was a great length. Such a good shape too - the point never catches.

Identify your target beyond all doubt because you never miss (right?) and I'll be missed.

Picked this up today, nothing flash but should do the job. Sheath's a bit cheap, has a pocket for a steel but Svord say not to use steels on their knives. And it has a convex grind which I've never before tried to sharpen. only ever flat and bevel grinds

NZDA are selling these at a discount at the moment. Good every day knife.

thats relative...... dont over steel it.... just enough to restraighten edge...and when getting..not when it IS blunt...get it onto the stone and put that fine feather edge back on.

This blade has a bit of family history, my Grandma picked it up in Finland, years later she gifted it to my father, it sat in a draw for decades until he gifted it to me on a rare visit back to the UK.
It's always on my belt when I step out with a rifle on my shoulder

Some time back I made with the help of a friend a damascus knive from three different steels. I quite liked the hammering of the hot steel!
