Here's one of my favorite folders, it's a Boker with a 90mm VG10 blade which is very easy to open!!
It sits very nicely in the pocket and only weighs 88gr so I forget it's there which is nice.

Well with plenty of time in lock down comes plenty of time for dirty old Viper to slither into his little workshop and make sharp things.
Two knives nearing the end of their builds and I will post photo's once finished.
This is the handle detail from a new model. First time using Desert Ironwood for handle scales, stunning natural colour and grain structure. Hope everyone is staying safe and well, keep the chins up guys, we got this.Attachment 136032
All these knives being made has encouraged me to get back into the shed and pick up some old projects. Progress report to come tomorrow

Latest knife just finished, Copperhead model, full grind, Zebrano handle scales with carbon fibre pins and toxic green liners. Off to new owner down south.Attachment 136085Attachment 136086
Few old projects out the the box and into the fire today. Couple of petty/utility kitchen knives, a small game skinner(actually the first knife I ever profiled just never finished it as I fucked up the grind, managed to salvage it today with a bit of draw filing) and a camp nessimuk to go with my cbk as a pair.
Want a rustic/aged timber finish handle for the muk, any ideas? Thinking I maybe recycle some old tool handles or somthinghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...ddd723c187.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...30289219de.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...2f475469c1.jpg

Finished the little utility kitchen knife up today. More a practice piece than anything, wanted to try a hidden tang. Turned out OK but a bit plain. Should have left some forge scale on for interest.
Cuts pretty good...

@Nick-D I wouldn't call that plain, nice clean lines looks very appealing to me.
Looks cool. What's the wood? Coconut palm?
Bit of mustard forced patina or a couple of years use for character
No idea man, mystery timber that a mate gave to me. Can't order any fresh supplies so scrabbling around with what I have on hand. Oiled with deck and furniture oil haha
It's 1095 so will patina up pretty quick. Already taken o. Some character from that chopping session

Brass pins and red micarta liners.
Oal 18.5cm, blade 7.5cm, weight just over 50 grams
Stay safe everyone!

This just arrived, LT Wright large northern hunter in AEB-L. Great all round Attachment 137610blade shape.
Finished this little fella up. Small petty/chefs knife for the missus. She's got tiny hands so wanted somthing to fit.
1095 with a subtle hamon. Turned out pretty good. Is nice and thin behind the edge so glides through veggies and the like. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...c92406efc7.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...78612052c0.jpg

Had to use the angle grinder at work today, so once finished I decided to give it a bit of a whirl on some O1 I took to work for just that purpose, waste not want not...

One with the most work is going to be a nod at a Loveless drop point, the other an edc I have been thinking of.
I like your style @von tempsky fan
Normally only use western style knives from a couple of kiwi makers but thought I’d try something different, handmade Japanese Gyuto, these things are next level sharp and so nice to use. Main cutting edge is carbon but majority clad in stainless to help keep maintenance to a minimum. Definitely recommend giving one a go if you get the chance. Don’t bother if you’re rough on gear , they’ll last about 2 minutes.

@Nick-D , what grinder did you buy ?
