I really like that mix - apart from the broad beans,

I have never been a fan either of broad beans, but I followed a recipe and they turned out pretty good. Boiled for a few mins, half mashed with lemon juice and garlic, rest mixed thru with mint and parmesan cheese and typed with crispy fried salami.. it's a pasta recipe but went good as a side. Heaps in the garden so trying different ways to eat them... prefer a venison back steak but my hunting skills leave alot to be desired..

Simple man, simple food.... lamb chops and whitebait patties.... ( and green and red stuff...)

My first west coast SI whitebait for 2 years, and boy it tasted good.
I got home late from the hospital (wife has had a knee replacement) and chucked this into the oven - mixed some stuffing with dried prunes and apricots - filled a pocket in a lump of fallow bum with it. Into the camp oven, browned it. Coated it with the rest of the stuffing and into the oven for 1.5 hrs.
The veggies are what you see on the. plate. Very yummy.

Lunch
Kiwi oyster omelet (no flour slurry etc...)
Eggs, oysters, surimi, caviar (lump fish), Japanese pepper/Chilli. Butter in fry pan.
And some more caviar on top.

Very nice. But not as good as a street food asian oyster omelet.

There was a time when I thought you were a fine upstanding individual with impeccable culinary skills but then you went and cooked oysters. Ten thousand lines on a blackboard shall be your punishment. Oysters are the food of gods and oysters are only to be eaten natural. That’ll teach you! Ha ha ha ha
I know I know..... they weren't great oysters, just aqua ones, and they weren't fully cooked.....
The caviar shouldn't be cooked either, but they were little explosions of taste when you bit them. Very nice.
So all in all, yes a few cooking/eatting "rules" broken, but it ate real well.
Sorry rushy, I'll try harder next time.......
