Mine was a renewal, so not "new", but the new license came through today.

95 days from submission to license approval.

Applied early July, referee and partner both had their phone calls last week so will wait for the visit. Good being able to have the expired license considered valid still.

A month to the day since the vettor was here and just received confirmation email of renewal. Now the standard 6-8 weeks till actual license turns up. It does drag on doesn’t it

Applied for renewal and endorsement early September. Had interview done late October and approval from the FSA for both start of November. New card in the mail will take longer but I technically had the renewal and endorsement done in 2 months. Located northern Auckland. Can’t complain and the vetter was a top bloke.

Yes, I probably agree with you on that, My gun safe was a wooden one, made out off HDF, about a month after the interview they finally came back and said they won't accept it as secure enough, so I sent them a link to a Gun Safe on Trade-me and said will this one be O.K. I got the thumbs up, so went out and brought it, installed it that weekend and sent photo's of it in place with the bolts etc, that was Labour Day, haven't heard a thing since. Considering I put my application in back in May, it seems to be taking a long time.

I'm still waiting, have been since June. Not interviews or inspections yet. Hamilton

Based in Taranaki. Applied in February for an end of June expiry. Process went well and vetter was great. Only complaint was my license never showed up. I emailed in November and responded a week later and license was in the mail the week following.
