You Have to have a real me log in you also have to take a paper form to the police station to be confirmed that you are you and only then can you see what you have registered.

I have to verify my real is really me, they like my Passport, but not my selfie or a video. So I cannot exist? Maybe my having to do a smear test is true.
What a cock up this registration crap is, but I think they’re are just making it an ass to deal with on purpose

Like bicycle lanes making it harder for (taxpaying) cars to get around cities, the register is making it harder for (law abiding) firearms owners to use firearms

We look for conspiracies but honestly, they do it because they can

So, when I have registered all my firearms, like a good little boy, but can’t get into my Real Me and they come to do my FAL renewal next month, there’s going to be some stern words both ways.

There’s going to be many unregistered, part registered firearms in New Zealand then.

Didn't have to go near a Police station, with real me get straight in, then get a number texted to me for final entering of the site. Always stay online with them while registering or transferring. Only problem I've had in the past is phone contact which seems to be sorted by phoning at 8-30am.

Yep, I phoned them yesterday, just a dick telling me all their operators were busy. It’s not helping, but guess it’s planned to piss you off

Yes but can you now login and see what is registered to your name and licence?

Because yes you can register everything but to be able to then see what is registered you have to have your realMe verified.

Can see everything that's registered to me, haven't been near the Police station, did a new real me online before original registration, couldn't use the real me I had for IRD.

Go down to the section 'how to validate'.
I know of two people sofar that once validated and able to fully view, have found items they dont own against their profile.

Oh, it's a great system alright. Robust, highly accurate, useful for solving crimes, blah, blah, blah.

I've just been through the mission of accessing, and downloading, my "inventory".
Fortunately, I also downloaded the list (of the time) immediately after registering the items in Oct 2023.
There has been a bit of in and out since then, BUT!
Wonder of wonders, an item has disappeared, to who knows where?

Which opens up a couple of scenarios.
One - I've now got an "unregistered" firearm in my possession, for which I actually have a transaction reference number, or
Two - I don't have said item in my possession because it ended up "somewhere"!

    Are you feeling safer now?

Well good news, Real Me confirmed I exist, well nearly, up to 5 days for them to finally, finally, finally confirm my face is really mine. They will email me, yep they know my email, to confirm, how does that work?

Correct, before I did this I couldn't see what was registered in my name only that I had registered.
