If you are going to need to register in the near future you may want to start the ball rolling by getting your RealMe ID sorted.
If it’s not registered and the buyer is not registered, how would it become a triggering event?

How the shit, would they know, if both are not registered?

Im feeling very triggered here , lads .

Oh - thats right , Ive already talked to the FSA today. Fastest call answer ever - 30 seconds.

Unfortunately the Indian lady I spoke to was not as efficient as any of the others Ive talked to - to the point that it was difficult to remain calm.

All for a transfer from a dealer onto my list of items.. Seriously ridiculous....

When you sell it...assuming your not already ticketed, they COULD register it,bringing in from grey cold side so to speak BUT you will also have to do the registration thing for anything else you own....just been through same scenario except selling on behalf of someone else.

You do you, I'm not here to judge anyone.
I was just pointing out what should be done and where to get the right information.
I am registered and have been for a while but if I was going to insinuate that one could get away with not registering I wouldn't post it on a public forum that is monitored by the police.
Let's be clear I'm no accusing anyone here of doing that, but that's the problem with written text it can be interpreted in ways it wasn't necessarily intended.
In short don't come here for medical advice, talk to your doctor, don't come here for legal advice, talk to a lawyer, and if you want information about what is and isn't required about the firearms register guess what ? Your doctor won't know shit about that either your lawyer might but it will cost you, sure as shit is brown the FSA will know and will provide that information free.
    Have a great evening

Makes sense. Seems like it may be best to get all register stuff squared away before doing any buy/sell to make the admin more straight forward.

Have found the FSA aren't interested where it came from prior to your registration if it isn't already on the registry. Have attempted to supply the sellers details which have been declined every time.

And that is sensible from the FSA.
If they want "grey" firearms on the register, who cares where it comes from. If they want details of "grey" owners, those firearms will likely stay underground.
I did that with a few underground E cat firearms in the old days.
Got the OK from the Arms office to purchase, then registered once I had them. If I couldn't register them they would likely be still underground.

The good old days, when the police found a pistol and contacted the pistol club for someone to contact the owner, work out a deal and take it to the AO to have it registered. When we were trusted

Danny, I don’t think it’s a triggering event would be two unregistered people selling a firearm between them. They will all be registered at some time in the future whatever. But I think it’s a stretch to see everyone being so compliant.

Maca simply put selling a rifle is a triggering event if your unregistered has been like that for a fair while now
You can dance around it all day but its not doing anyone any favours in the shooting world

Well the good news is, by already having a realme login and a only a couple items to register - the process took all of about 10mins online. Sorted.
