My one was brand new still wrapped in grease paper, the brass butt plate didn't help with recoil but I got used to it, its now shortened and sporterised with a better stock.

Shot a possum with a 308 tracer :o Definitely an overkill and definitely smoked it 1 303 between all of you will have pretty good control measures so go for it. Let us know how you get on

Has anyone tried these? Come in a few flavours, 8x20, 10x30, 12x36 etc. Looking at a few used examples on ebay, they go for a few hundred each. I don't think they're watertight but I could handle...
