We tested the green and red LED variants of the Maxtoch 2X.

Green showed zero improvement at holding animals here though, I believe its good on hogs - open range wild pigs in the USA. Red too we found not worth while though we only tested it on bunnies. Max range for a red 2X is about 750m down to equivalent full moonlight on target. You might see eyes at 300-350 perhaps, but red /green Maxtochs use different Leds to the white XML2-U4 2X. Red/green have only about 350 lumen output whereas white has 1450. So red also not great for sweeping paddocks, not much flood, and not much hotspot.

We dropped them and only use the white Led lights - clear advantage with much greater output and range. Some guys may find red better on some animal species..

I tried both red and green. Some early on instances I thought animals might have held better but over a larger sample the results were no different to the white. Sometimes they held sometimes they ran.
    Just a slopy retrobate
