Got me a nice Svord.

I have the same one @BRADS and love it. Sometimes I think it is a little too big for my liking, then I use it again and love it. Needs a better sheath than the basic one they come with though.
Well @Bryan and @BRADS if you ever want a better sheath let me know, Can also add a steel holder and have a nice steel that would go nice with them too, just started putting small bits of deer antler on them 2. Had a couple made by a mate and will do some myself soon
@Ground Control Very nice leather work, Love your slipjoint one, I make one similar for the mercator

I dont get Svord. Functional yes but fucking ugly.
No offence @BRADS :P
I got a couple Dunc...they work good. Try to avoid stoning them and rely on a steel only.
Plus one for Svord. They are all slightly too large for my liking but this 350b model works really well. Have had it for a couple months and have tested it on a few deer and loved it. Just need to upgrade the sheath and get a steel from HGD once i get my shit sorted. Attachment 29452Attachment 29453
Bark River drop point hunter:
About $80-100 more landed here than the Svord.

Virtuovice sold it to me for $100USD. I will never part with it :)
You need to be more like @BRADS
I reckon I would fall asleep watching people dress out a animal with some of these knives. ☺

Yep it is. Just stumbled upon it and couldn't resist. Agree it does look much nicer. One thing i have learnt from a few hunts is that the popper on the sheath comes undone too easily. Knife is snug so it won't fall out but is a pain in the arse. So HGD will be getting a call soon.
I personally never, ever butcher my eating animals on the hill. And I reckon I would fall asleep at the 10 min mark watching anyone bone one out.
You certainly cannot field dress an animal with the speed and efficiency that I am used too with a stubby blade like most knives on here have.
Then again I suppose not many are trying to make a buck off them anymore.

Anything sharp will do a good job if you know how to use it. Rather something small than a large long rambo blade. This knife is the one that lives in the pack and has had its share of use. Was used by a chopper guy who then gave it to me when he stopped. Its bloody great either on the hill or boning at the chiller. Attachment 29456
Cool
Same model Svord (370 drop point I think) I bought in 1990.
Replaced the handle with black maire and reshaped the blade a bit. Been a good solid knife.

Nowhere near as nice as some of the collections on here, but all functional. The victorinox ones on the right are recent additions.

I had a victorinox skinners years ago.
Broke it at the haft I think thats the term where the handle meets the blade.
Did it when sitting down on tractor seat and pinching it.
Also found could get really sharp but gapped when used agriculturally and hitting bone.
If anyone wants a value knife that will perform, its worth taking a look at Hess.
I’ve had a couple and I would rate them at least as good as Svord, but way better crafted. Probably work out cheaper too.

I have a muela and a svord I really like the muela can get it Razer Sharp with the lansky kit. But I'm still new to knives and not very good at keeping them sharp haha . Nice knives guys :) Attachment 29752
Couple of years on,here is my Zedteq
I am very happy with it especially the non slip handle and edge retention.
To me its a tool and not something to look at hence the staining from being left in sheath covered in blood.

I sent a custom Zedtech to a friend in Japan. Its on a video in YouTube under the name “Vituovice”.
A few deer, hence the rust stains because i don't have to get it out and sharpen it every time i use it.:)
