Just giving them all a quick sharpen so thought id post.
From left to right:
Outdoor Edge (AUS8)
Spyderco delica 4 (VG10)
Opinel No8 High Carbon Model
Knives of Alaska Jager Boner (D2)
Svord 350B Micarta Handles
Well it would be left to right if they posted the right way up. Think of it as a Saturday night skills test.
Hmm, I figured it lol
U just use a wet stone and then touch up with a diamond sharpener. Never gets it very sharp. might have to try this emery paper.
D2 is known for being difficult to sharpen. Fine emery paper as suggested or a 2k grit water stone works. Keep a bit of angle on the bevel because its a bugger to chip on bone.
I have a couple of knives in D2 now and find 25 degrees on the Lansky sharpener works really well and the edge holds for ages, I do most of the work on 20 degrees then finish the edge at 25 and use a 1000 grit polishing stone to finish, bit of a strop after and they are dangerous sharp
Really like this little featherweight fox river. Down side is I gave it to my wife for an EDC before Id opened the box for a look :cave:

@sneeze that is a really nice EDC!
i suppose for a woman it would be awesome to have in the hand bag. Do any of you guys EDC something like this? or how would you?
I use a crkt folts minimalist as a edc, tiny little thing hat feels great in my hand. Keep bigger knives in vehicles and the house if neededd
Ok so a few years ago at the other pub we did a knife making thingy, drew names out of a hat and made knives for that person. Anyway I wanted to make my self some more leather kit and remembered I had this knife and thought yeah let's do it. I contacted @ANOTHERHUNTER to see if he has some left over micarta from making the knife so I could make a handle for a steel, and we'll here is the finished sheath......with the knife. Can't give you the details of the knife but ANOTHERHUNTER may do so. Hope to give it a decent try tonight!!

Excuse my ignorance but @HNTMAD how do you put your design on the leather? Is it a press of some sort? It looks bloody awesome, great way to mark your work. Very cool.

It is a stamp and when the leather is wet from colouring I walk the stamp with a hammer. Yup that little logo gets seen all over the place

Nice blade.
Chris reeve, but which model
Chris reeve clone model
Haha, yes , sorry boys, been away at squash. Don't stress, it's nothing fancy, it's a Chinese copy of a Chris Reeve Sebenza, Aliexpress for $12!
Actually really surprised how well made it is, was expecting absolute junk and this actually feels way better than my Gerber folder.
You mean a fake ?

What are they cold steel knives like? More so the master hunter, I like the shape of them.
Also like that Bark River knife @Tahr

@puku Got a cold steel pig sticker (can't remember model, big bugger) really good, doesn't hold an edge for to long being stainless but can get it pretty sharp with a quick steel. Some of the demo videos online are crazy, can remember a guide using one to stab a wounded buff.
The "ouch" about that BR is the NZD330 landed. Its a great knife though.
I've got a very old Master Hunter and its been a faithful old knife. I use it for cleaning up heads and rough work. Stands up to it well. Mine is their carbon steel model. I expect that their stainless models are pretty shitty. There is some crap Chinese stainless being used in knives nowadays, and I think that the Cold Steel knives are made in China now.
I'll take it if he doesnt
